    Nice first Cuckoo clock

    Posted by B on 15th Jan 2019

The clock is different then traditional, ( butterflies instead of forest animals, hunting themes ) but very nice and not too modern or overly colorful. The blue butterflies and the stained case are perfect. It works well, but the hands have some play, ( they have some free movement, about 2+/- minutes worth. The Cuckoo goes off but the minute hand can be a minute or two off from the hour. Regulating the time so it keeps good time, (sliding the butterfly up or down the pendulum) takes a bit to get right. I've only had it running a few days so I'm still trying to get it right. Had this been a more expensive clock, I'd be a little more upset with the "loose" movement, but for a first Cuckoo clock, its nice.
